There are Sacraments and there are sacramentals. Although they may seem to have similar names, they are unique and different.

 Sacraments are outward signs instituted by Jesus Christ that give grace to those who receive them in a worthy manner. Such as Baptism, Conformation, Penance, Eucharist, Matrimony, Holy Orders and The Anointing of the sick.

Sacramentals are sacred signs which bear a resemblance to Sacraments but they signify effects particularly of a spiritual nature obtained through the intercession of the church. (Catechism of the Catholic Church #1667)
